Riesling & Co. - Toronto 2011

On May 17, 2011, Wines of Germany welcomed over 250 restaurateurs, liquor board buyers, sommeliers and chefs at the Highest Riesling Lounge in the World located over 350 metres up in the clouds at the top of the CN Tower in Toronto. The event was preceded by a sit down tutored tasting of dry and aged Rieslings led by German Wine Princess Melanie Unsleber with panel participation by Rainer Lingenfelder, Andrea Besslich and Fritz Hasselbach.

To welcome DWI CEO Monika Reule and Princess Melanie to Canada, the night prior’s festivities included a special wine tasting reception for guests of RIMOWA at their exclusive boutique located in Yorkville. Wines featured included many recent listings at the LCBO while guests entered a draw to prizes from Wines of Germany and RIMOWA.
